Leadership Lake County

Upon graduating from the Leadership Lake County Signature “best class ever” of 2011, Morris Beverage III and several of his classmates were responsible for reestablishing the Alumni association and taking the countywide networking and community impact opportunities to the next level. He joined the Annual Golf Outing committee and led the event as the chair for two years.

Lake County Historical Society

In 2012, Morris Beverage III joined the board of the Lake County Historical Society, championing as the board president for several years. During his time with the nonprofit, he was able to support them through a major transition of Executive Directors and assist with fundraising campaigns and the inception of events that supported their mission.

“In Hilton Head, South Carolina on a bench in Old Fort Park, a quote stuck with me: ‘Respect for history is the soul of citizenship.’ My experience with the Lake County Historical Society increased my perspective to see that the movements of a synchronized county, with each agency and individual performing and contributing as parts of a whole body, where our history and the remembrance of where we’ve been further propel our ability to be successful in the future.”

Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation (LEAF)

Morris Beverage III became involved with LEAF in 2012 serving as an involved board member for many years. During his time spent he helped transition the organization through several Executive Directors and was instrumental in identifying a key revenue stream that had once been an expense; by helping the annual learning center program guide to become a sponsorship opportunity.

“The organization does a great job not only helping students that may not have had access or experience with the process of going to college and career readiness from a simplistic standpoint, but also as an invaluable connector for the future labor market. It is fantastic to have an organization that is able to support Lake County’s future job seekers and the employers seeking to hire them. I am happy that I was able to be involved in this important career readiness agency.”

Lighthouse Advisers

Morris Beverage III has over 20 years of financial services experience with some of the world’s largest banks and investment firms.  In 2015 he created M. W. Beverage Financial Services, which served as a first phase to what has ultimately become Lighthouse Advisers. Morris specializes in helping clients manage investment portfolios, restructure debt, save for their children’s education, and plan long-term for their retirement.  He also assists businesses and non-profit organizations establish, monitor, and manage their retirement plans optimally. As President of Lighthouse Advisers, Morris focuses on cultivating long-term client relationships through a proactive, hands-on service model and by empowering clients with the knowledge and tools needed to be confident in their financial decisions. Morris is Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health Insurance licensed.

Miracle League of Lake County

Morris Beverage III is proud to have had an instrumental role in fundraising for the Lake Health Miracle Field, which makes the love of baseball ADA accessible. “Baseball is such a joy filled sport and it was my pleasure to be part of bringing attention and funds to this worthy cause. I continue to be engaged whenever I can.”

Lake Health Foundation

Morris Beverage III as chair of Lighting the Way Event through the Lake Health Foundation, enjoyed the opportunity to fundraise and later support the Live Healthy campaign for wellness. His time investing in the event also helped him gain a better perspective on the importance of quality healthcare in the county.

“Around the same time as this event, my wife Kerri and I were beginning our family and it was a wonderful experience to be able to work side by side with the midwifery team throughout several projects. I was proud of the level of impact we were able to make and the awareness of additional birthing options.”

United Way of Lake County

Morris Beverage III has been blessed to serve in many roles within the United Way of Lake County organization. Creating a countywide fundraising initiative called Dress Up January, having the privilege to be the 2018 Campaign Chairman, and also receiving the 2017 Matthew A. Logies Ambassador Award.

“The United Way of Lake County is an incredible organization and I agree that they are ‘the best way to help the most people.’ Focused on their mission to become the entrusted champions that drive improved outcomes in our community by funding services that impact health, education and financial stability. I’ve enjoyed being a part of this incredible agency and the future initiatives it ushers in.

American Heart Association

When Morris Beverage III accepted the role of Heart Walk chair for the American Heart Association in June 2021, he was excited to increase his knowledge of heart health and the importance of bringing that increased awareness to all of Lake County. Morris was proud of the work accomplished in the year he was chair and looks forward to being involved with an important organization and cause for years to come.

Hero Fest Lake County

Morris Beverage III is extremely proud of the event he has helped launch and chaired that is Hero Fest Lake County. In its first two years it has tripled in size and raised close to $30,000 to support scholarships and mental health services for Lake County’s first responders.

“With the inception of Hero Fest Lake County two important goals were adopted. The first is to facilitate an appreciation event for Lake County’s first responders and their families. The second is to support the raising of funds for improving the mental health services for Lake County’s first responders. I am beyond thrilled that the event had such success for these very important causes and consider myself fortunate to be a part of the process. I look forward to seeing how impactful this annual event will be.”
